Madison History Roundtable (see details; Dinner reservations due Jan 9)

Main Presentation: This month we welcome Michael Edmonds. He is a 1976 graduate of Harvard University and has taught part-time at the University of Wisconsin-Madison since 1986. For more than a decade he wrote the weekly column, Odd Wisconsin. Michael is currently the Director of Programs and Outreach at the Wisconsin Historical Society and is the author of several books on Wisconsin history. Michael will be presenting on his most recent book; Warriors, Saints, and Scoundrels: Brief Portraits of Real People Who Shaped WisconsinIn this talk he will tell us about some of the strange and colorful people who helped create our state, and why the Wisconsin Historical Society wanted to publish a book full of short sketches about obscure eccentrics.
