A few details about the Resource Fair:
Who: Orchard Ridge Elementary PTO - approximately 300 student attend ORE and the family dinners, which were started last year, have been wildly successful with a huge turnout. Our school is one of the most diverse in the district, serving the second highest African-American student population, a strong Hispanic and Hmong population and more. Our school is located on the southwest side of Madison, where families and schools are deeply committed to closing the achievement gap. Our school is strong and we’re working every day to support the parents and families of our treasured students and strengthen the bond between family and school.
What: ORE Resource Fair and Family Dinner - a potluck style community dinner and opportunity for families to explore the resources and opportunities within their community. We hope to offer a wide range of services, from classes and extracurriculars to social safety net services.
Where: Orchard Ridge Elementary School cafeteria and gymnasium (5602 Russett Rd, Madison, WI 53711)
When: Friday November 3rd, 2017 5-7pm (setup to begin at 4pm)
Why: Because our children deserve to be safe, supported and adored. Because far too often, we see some students thrive while others are forgotten. And because many families have no idea what rich resources are available for Madison families. ORE PTO strives to be a bridge between the school and families, strengthening both along the way.
