4th of July Parade and Picnic
The Orchard Ridge Neighborhood Association goes big for Independence Day! The annual Fourth of July parade and picnic is for members, and their families and guests-- and you can join right at the picnic!
The parade begins July 4 at 11:30 a.m. at the east Whitcomb and Loruth intersection, proceeding north and then west down Loruth Terrace to Orchard Ridge Park, where we serve our primo picnic lunch--brats, hot dogs, burgers, chips, potato salad, watermelon, baked beans, ice cream--all free for members. You can join--or donate--right at the picnic.
So rig out your baby buggy, bike, skateboard, scooter, or wagon, and deck yourself in patriotic motif to join the parade. Meet the honored Grand Marshal, Orchard Ridge Pioneer Tom McKenna, and greet the firefighters atop their truck. Take a selfie with Uncle Sam!
At the picnic grounds, mix and mingle with new and old friends and take a hop into the popular inflatable obstacle course (a.k.a. "bouncy castle"), always a hit with kids and adults alike.
